This is a concept I found useful.
The gist is related to a concept I hold near and dear to my heart of Cognitive Fatigue. Cognitive Fatigue is the idea that everyone has a limited amount of decision making power a day and the more decisions you make the lower the quality of any subsequent decision.
The above linked post is essentially a simple way to look at issues that can sap this limited, valuable decision making resource and how to deal with them in a way that helps prevent future brain draining.
